Even When It’s Over, There’s Work to be Done

So I’m checking out the complete offensive breakdown from the Notre Dame game over at The Only Colors.  I start by reading through the first couple of plays, and then jump straight down to the end, straight to the pick.  From the very last line of the play recap:

“on the INT return Cousins pursued McCarthy to the 50 and made the tackle. There is no quit in that guy.”

Not “on the INT return Cousins pounds his fist into the ground in angst.”  Or “on the INT return Cousins stands up and snaps his chinstrap loose from his helmet in disgust.”

Nope, he got up, ran down the field, and made the tackle.  Then he went into the locker room and took the post-game questions like a man.

I could say more, but this young man’s actions speak on their own merit.
