Hi Storm, thanks for the comment. Agreed, this post was waaay overdue. Things slacked off around the Iowa game (for a legit reason, I promise), but I should be back on in full in time for the spring game.

With regard to Nichol, I don't completely disagree with you, Keith is a hell of a player and there's a lot of benefit to having him either at receiver or at quarterback. The bowl game was a unique situation, where Keith was, pretty much without a doubt, the third best receiver we had available at the time. Come fall, that won't be the case anymore, and I'd just hate to see him get hurt, and then if Cousins goes down, we're looking at Andrew Maxwell as the #1 quarterback.

I'd like to see Nichol play WR in select situations, adding an additional fold in the offense where he can play as a traditional WR, shift into the QB position in wildcat formations (which we saw in the bowl game), or catch the ball behind the line of scrimmage and then throw the ball downfield. To me, that has more value than just keeping him in a strict wide receiver role.

this is an insightful post and is appreciated, but is LOOOONNGGG overdue, ive been waiting a long time for a new post. And Coach D needs to get Nichol on the field anyway he can next season, he is one of the team's best athletes and those were in short supply last season especially during the bowl game. Other than than let the building process continue.
