Thanks for the response Wes.

I'll leave the disregard for proper punctuation aside. The OSU/Penn State call is a tough one. Penn State gets OSU in Happy Valley, and that almost swayed me towards Penn State as #1. But I think Terrelle Pryor is going to have a stellar year, and Penn State returns the fewest offensive line starts of any team in the conference (unfortunately, MSU is second to last here). So OSU gets the nod, but this will likely come down to the November 7th game in Happy Valley.

i think its pretty accurate for the most part but i would change osu and penn st around cus osu is very young this year. but being a michigan fan i do believe we got another year or maybe two to get back to were we need to be. oh and fyi u of m fans do look down on msu because you guys have alot of catching up to do in the series but so does all our rivals its not just msu its also minnesota osu penn st etc...
but still accurate predictions tho

Yeah, that one was a tough call for me. I think that's probably the toughest stretch of the schedule, at Notre Dame, at Wisconsin, Michigan and at Illinois. Winning against Michigan, while not quite what I would call a sure thing (it is a rivalry game, after all), is still easy to call a win. But the other three games are all on the road. I said in the preview that we probably split those four games, so calling a win against Michigan means we lose two of those three remaining games. Wisconsin has struggled, and despite the fact that the game is in Madison, I went with that game as the second win. Also, I realize we've won six straight in South Bend (a.k.a Spartan Stadium South), but a streak has to end at some point, right?

Most of this seems pretty reasonable. But betting against the Spartans in South Bend? Anything can happen, I guess...

No worries Mike, definitely didn't not come across as too harsh. I think you are right in that a lot of Spartans interpret it as a condescending remark. It's almost as though the offending individual is referring to some childlike incarnation of an MSU fan.

I think i unintentionally came off too harsh when i wrote the comment. It grinds my gears when ESPN refers to us as Sparty, because it always seems as if they are talking down to us when using it. I like the site, keep up the good work!

I know it really bothers a lot of MSU fans when we get referred to as Spartys, almost like it's a pejorative term. I guess I just find it oddly endearing. Either way, we appreciate the feedback Mike.

Stop referring to the Spartans as "Sparty" or "Sparties"!
