Okay, really, last move for Sparty’s Links, I promise. I’m going to be publishing the Know Thy Enemy pregame posts on Thursdays, and since I’m usually traveling on Fridays, it just makes sense to hold on the Sparty’s Links until Friday. Sparty’s got all the links that are fit to print:
- Recaps, recaps everywhere (Montana State, of course): JollyGreenGiants, MLive, Free Press, The Only Colors, SpartyMSU, Hondo
- Oh god we’re terrible!!! The Only Colors finds the downside to a 44-3 victory and looks at the quarterback stats in detail. Stats are aweeeesome!!!
- Eric Lacy says the offensive line may be a sign of weakness on the Spartan squad.
- Steve Grinczel makes his case for why Nichol should be the starter. Rosenberg over at the Freep says Cousins and Nichol are MSU’s bread and butter (uh, great analogy?). Joe says aww hell just go with both of them. Dantonio says I’ll never tell!
- The Other Side of Spartan Sports puts together a compelling argument about why Michigan State is THE university of Michigan. I’m sure U 0f M has a few counterpoints, although I’m not sure what they are.
- The Only Colors gives us a Big Ten wrap up: Buy, Hold & Sell edition.
- Previews!!! JollyGreenGiants gives us a good primer on how CMU matches up against our Spartans. Detroit News has a preview as well. So does The Only Colors.
- Keith Nichol says he’ll call former teammate and Heisman winner Sam Bradford after Bradford injured his shoulder in a 14-13 loss to BYU.
- The Other Side of Spartan Sports lets us know that there will be resurfacing construction on I-496 on Saturday, so you may want to adjust your route into campus.
- Blair White tells us the offense is very confident right now in an interview with The Sports Inferno.
- Joe Rexrode says MSU will redshirt all but four players from the 2009 class.
- Boston.com has a nice little write-up on Brian Hoyer, who will be the backup this season for the New England Patriots behind Tom Brady.
