Links? You want links? Oh we got your links for the week! Lots of news this week, I think this is probably our biggest link post yet. Go crazy kids.
- Post-game recaps from the Notre Dame game: South Bend Tribune, Detroit News, Free Press, LSJ, Bleacher Report, The Only Colors 1, The Only Colors 2
- Despite the interception to essentially end the game, Joe Rexrode has been very impressed with Kirk Cousins. For me, this only adds to why I like this guy.
- Howie Beardsley from the Grand Rapids Press argues that Kirk Cousins needs to be named the starter.
- Cash Kruth from the State News is proud to have Kirk Cousins at QB, interceptions and all.
- Jack Ebling over at Spartan Tailgate has a couple of interesting points:
“…a 1-2 mark, the same start as in 1987, MSU’s last Rose Bowl season.”
“…only the second time in school history that the Spartans had lost back-to-back games by less than six points. In October 1982, MSU lost 24-23 at Wisconsin and 24-21 at home against Purdue. That’s it.”
The first quote makes me feel better about the season. The second is what it is.
- The Rivalry, Esq. has MSU winning eight games and going to the Insight Bowl.
- JollyGreenGiants adds his perspective after the first three games.
- Pretty remarkable story about University of Oregon coach Chip Kelly refunding the cost of a trip to Boise for one displeased fan.
- Charles Rogers pleads guilty to being an idiot as he tried to make a comeback to football.
- The Michigan State vs. University of Michigan football game will be at noon on October 3rd. It will be carried by the Big Ten Network. Noon, really? Come on.
- Shannon Shelton takes a look at the injury situation on the offensive line.
- Colin Fly wins the award for first journalist to look forward to the Wisconsin game.
- It’s things like this, though, that scares the snot out of me.
- The Only Colors has the full offensive and defensive breakdown from the Notre Dame game.
