Guest blogger Jeremy Exell hasn't started mashing the panic button, yet.

Editor’s Note: This post was written by guest blogger Jeremy Exell, who is a 2005 MSU alum and former roommate.  The views of Jeremy do not necessarily reflect the views of Spartan-Football.com, yada yada yada.  For the last two years, Jeremy has been giving back to his country by serving for Americorps.  This is his reaction after the Central Michigan game.

Let’s face it, yesterday sucked.

As a friend of mine put it, “I haven’t been this mad since the Notre Dame comeback loss!” As I thought about this fact, somewhere between storming out of Buffalo Wild Wings and throwing my hat into the rain, I thought “well there goes the season.”

But it wasn’t just a one time thought, all day long I kept thinking, “we’re going to collapse, we’re going to get killed by Notre Dame next week, lose a close game to Wisconsin, and then get stomped by Michigan at home. Same old Spartans.”

But then last night as I was receiving texts from all my cocky Wolverine friends it hit me, these are not the Same Old Spartans. This is not the team that lost to Louisiana Tech, or a pathetic Indiana team. This is not the team that let Notre Dame come back at Spartan Stadium under the lights to win. This is not the team that would lose 1 game and fall apart every season. This is not that Coach, these are not those players, and we are not those fans. That’s right, “those fans”.

We have been hyping up Coach D and the team of the last 2 years as proving they are not the Same Old Spartans and you know what, they have done just that. Two consecutive bowl appearances proves that. Now it’s time for us to step up as fans and show we aren’t the same old Spartan fans.

This program has shown us over the last 2 years that they have changed now it’s our turn to show them so have we. So Coach D, I don’t know if you’ll read this but we still believe in you and the team. This season is not over, not by a long shot.
