Warrants were authorized in Ingham County for defensive tackle Oren Wilson and receiver Myles White. Both players are being charged with conspiracy and assault, punishable by 93 days in jail and/or a one year sentence.
The ambiguously sketchy duo have been connected to the November 22 incident at Rather Hall on campus where 15-20 people were said to have bombarded an event held by Michigan State University’s Iota Phi Theta Fraternity.
Wilson, a two year starter played in the Alamo Bowl against Texas Tech earlier this month. White is enduring his second offense since joining the team (much like Roderick Jenrette and Glenn Winston.)The receiver was recently suspended for minor in possession and disorderly conduct following the Penn State blowout in November.
With 11 now charged, and months to go before the 2010 season begins, we can only hope this is the last of 2009 and Mark Dantonio leads his team into the new decade with a bang…. well, less Plaxico, more progress!
