FAQ
What is Spartan-Football.com?
It’s a website, duh. This site is an idea that I’ve had in the back of my mind for probably two years or more. After setting up a personal blog over two years ago at Blogger, I wrote a couple of posts about Michigan State football. It was fun, but eventually that blog turned into more of a reflection of what I was doing professionally, and the MSU stuff just wasn’t on topic. In the summer of 2009 I decided to make the commitment and start a website dedicated to MSU football.
Who runs the site?
My name is Eric. I went to Michigan State and graduated in 2005. After moving to Chicago, I was looking for a way to connect with my alma matter. In 2007 I bought season tickets and went to every home game that season. It wasn’t easy. My car broke down twice. My uncle got married on a home football Saturday, right in the middle of game time. It didn’t matter. I was still at every game. Since then, I’ve had season tickets every year and have been to every home game. By the end of the 2009 season, it will be 21 consecutive home games.
Is this your full time job?
No. I do search engine optimization for an agency in Chicago. Although my main client is based in Detroit, so go figure. So if things go dark for a few days, it’s probably because I’m swamped at the job that pays the bills. A lot of time and effort goes into this site, and it all has to be done in the evenings and on the weekends.
Can I write for Spartan-Football.com?
Because of how much time has to go in to writing content, making changes to the site, updating stats, etc. I would definitely entertain the idea of adding another blogger to the stable. If you are interested, email me at eric@spartan-football.com and we can talk.
Can I advertise on the site?
If you are interested in advertising on Spartan-Football.com, send me an email at eric@spartan-football.com and we can talk about different options.
